When riding in traffic I always stop at a red and take the lane. As soon at it turns green I move over to the right, I used to be better about stopping completely at stop signs, I do slow up a lot to see what is coming. Even at a 4 way stop I don’t trust most drivers to not try and beat me on my bike but most wave me on. I never argue with the police, I have been told to go on but slow down when driving and once given a warning. I think being a bit older now makes me less of a target as long as I am not breaking any rules. Drivers I still don’t trust, getting waived on when there is a car coming up on their right that either does not see me or does not care.
I did get yelled at by another older cyclist last week as he pointed to his helmet and I pointed to my Riv cap. Today I took the day off, I cannot ride more than 2-3 days in a row, if I do I pay a price. Last week I had a Coolief treatment in my left knee that has left it pain free but the right knee that had a replacement is not as happy with too many days in a row. I know when I am driving and see a bike I always give them the right of way as I am sure most cyclists do. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "RBW Owners Bunch" group.
