To repeat what others have said, 48-50 really is the comfortable limit on my 18'. I'm running 43mm and the SKS fenders are TIGHT, especially on the rear. I know normally bike brands normally pad the max clearance to prevent warranty claims, but Riv hasn't on this model. It really can't go much bigger.
