One of my big regrets of my Clem is not paying Riv the $40 or $50 they wanted to install the fenders. Instead, they just arrived in the box. After a particularly cold rainy ride a couple of years ago, I finally installed them.
Now it seems I cannot adjust out the tendency of the chain to rub the fender. They've always rubbed when I use the 34 in the back and the next lowest gear as well. After the bike's only trip ever to the shop this month to diagnose a dragging freehub which has since been replaced, the chain is rubbing worse than ever in the lower gears, and the front small ring is about impossible. I'm feeling like I want to take my Dremel to the fender and trim back a quarter inch or so. How does Riv install these fenders?
