Ericf, Then you rode across the original trestles from the early 1900s. These were destroyed in 2003 from a wildfire that swept through the canyon. They were then reproduced to historical authenticity and reopened in 2008. I've ridden the KVR/Columbia Western from Penticton to Castlegar a few times. Quite a beautiful ride.
