In the spirit of "good food need not be complicated", I had a hankering for some bread last fall. What I call "real bread". It was fall and fall means Aldi imports their made in Germany Pumpernickel and Rye breads. They are very very dense, in 500g bricks, made with just a few ingredients. I also have bought some sprouted grain breads from my local Kroger, aka Simple Truth Organic Sprouted breads sold in the freezer section. These are especially good toasted with either peanut butter or tahini. That bread toasted, with tahini spread on top, with some soft scrambled eggs on top of that, is just divine. Eggs, sea salt and cracked black pepper. Alterntives are to fold in some fresh ricotta cheese with the eggs, and some green Herdez green salsa.
