Brian, I would love to come to that ride! My schedule is pretty open so please let me know. I had not heard about much outside of OTET in Ohio so this news cheers me greatly. When I get to Columbus, at the top of my wishlist is a biking best friend (or 3). I have had so much maturation in my bike life in Michigan but one thing I lacked was a kindred spirit to adventure with. I’d love to cultivate friendships that would yield partners to bike tour with. I got started with my college boy but he is graduating early and leaving for parts unknown. I am in want of new riding partners!  Thanks for all this uplifting news! From my experience, I've yet to find a state with a better network of bike and recreational trails. They really did it right and took advantage of the opportunities for rail trails and connecting metro parks. While I am in central Kentucky, I do a lot of riding in southwestern Ohio, from Cincinnati up towards Dayton and Yellow Springs by way of the Little Miami Scenic Trail (a Rails to Trails Hall of Fame trail). My buddy Huston (a longtime member here) and myself are just starting to plan for a Riv meetup along the Little Miami at some point this year. I'll be sure to keep everyone posted, as I'm sure it could prove a convenient, central location for many others here. Despite you still being in MI for a while longer, perhaps you'd consider making the trip to get a taste of some of the trails OH has to offer?
