This is a great example of “every body’s different.” My shoulder issues crop up 
at a specific angle of rotation, and they are alleviated by a narrower stance 
and, especially, keeping my elbows close to my body. You definitely don’t want 
to sacrifice your shoulders to solve a hand pressure problem!

My personal trainer has me doing a lot of shoulder circles (along with lots of 
various shoulder strengthening exercises) and it has helped, but there are 
still times when a very specific motion will produce a strong twinge in there.
