Asides, even asides of asides, are interesting, IMO. Headwinds for trackstands: I must try that. There were gusts yesterday strong enough for the purpose.
Tannus: I’ll investigate; I just fear perceptible rolling resistance. When modern sealants appeared that let me ride extralight tires (Challenge Paris Roubaix, RH extralights) with the lightest tubes available, I was very struck by the difference in ride quality; tubeless and TPU tubes improved things even more. If Tannuses don’t make the ride quality revert to the level of Kojaks or belted Paselas, I would indeed consider them. FWIW, the RH TPUs in the extralight Stampeded Passes have given me no problems whatsoever, even on very rough surfaces and amongst the goatheads.
