I agree about the 70 SunTours (VGT and the Luxe versions...great stuff), however, the Shimano Crane is IMO a great derailleur as well. Mine has lasted a little longer than yours...I think it's going on 40 years. Just got back from an hour ride and didn't miss a shift.
