There was an issue of This Is Fly a year or two ago, had a similar concept, where someone was carrying their rods from hole to hole via bike.
I suppose, there are places where that might work, but, in my neck of the woods, because of the woods, I sure wouldn't want one of my flyrods sticking up off the back of my bike as I rode down the trail to the next hole, I'd have no rod left courtesy of the overhanging branches....
