It COULD be a nakkin ring, and with a Joe Bell paint job, it would
sell for $90 each, with a set-of-six going for maybe $500 (save $40
over the each price). Alas, I have not become spendthrifty in my
mid-50s, and that would be over-the-top lug fetishism, wouldn't it?
Whatever double duty it may do, or triple---as a spaghetti measurer,
for the evidence ignorers who are still into carbs---it will go onto a
frame that we haven't yet completely sorted out, but it would never be
the sole token lug on a tigged one (reminds me of the old B.J. Thomas
lyric, "but any kind of lug is better than no lug at all."
Anyway, it's for a bike that needs a lot of thinking about. It's
quirky, will turn some people off (that is not a demerit, just a
prediction), and mostly, will be widely misunderstood. But I'm just a
soul whose intentions are good.. (another lyrical reference----I do
not refer to myself as "a soul").
