Deal-breaker? No way. While the undertube may look a bit out of place, I see it as an opportunity to admire some of those pretty lugs. And you've got more of that sparkly orange paint to admire.
But, to play devil's advocate: I have a 56cm Tiawanese Sam and am 195 pounds. Aside from frame flex during out-of-the-saddle sprints, my bike is pretty solid without an undertube. Undertube or not, you're going to have an awesome bike with quite a bit of versatility, well worth what Riv is charging for it.
