After trying a few different cantilevers on my Quickbeam, I finally settled on using V-brakes. I did have to switch levers to do this. I know that many people on this list disdain V-brakes, but I find that they are excellent for braking, especially in wet weather, and I don't have any problems modulating the stopping power. I also find them easier to set up and adjust than cantilevers.
