I agree Mike.....the Ribmos are fine but the ideal tire for my weight
is between 35-38mm (actual) with the Marathon Supreme being the
current favorite. The Ribmo seems durable and relatively flat proof
but not particularly speedy. Honestly though I have no data to support
that and don't even use a speedometer anymore. I wanted to try them as
I used to roll  the Panaracer Urbanmax tires in that size and they
were great tires, speedy feeling but with a reinforced sidewall. The
Ribmos are heavier though and not round but more of a  oval cross
section with the center of the tire making more contact it seems.
These days I just ride what I have until they are worn out. Perceived
speed is important I suppose and some tires do seem better than others
but except for the extremes I think its difficult to notice a huge
difference among most of them. Love the new bike though....still
dialing in the bar height/saddle position and haven't had much time to
ride yet......maybe later today when the rain stops.
