Since I almost always get too hot with a hat on under my helmet, I tried using Rox Dog Earz. They're just smallish fleece-lined triangles of nylon that Velcro to the helmet straps and cover the ears. Easy on, easy off, work great, cut wind roar a little, and Made In USA. I put them on in mid-autumn, take them off mid-spring.
