I can't decifer your geometry numbers, but I suspect the rodeos chain
stays are shorter and its bottom bracket is higher. I think you said
the top tube was shorter too, though some of that could just be due to
a steeper seat tube. So you end up with a shorter wheelbase and a
higher center of gravity. Of course there is also the whole head tube
angle, fork rake trail thing too. All those geometry items affect
handleing.
