Not sure if that's due to their being so wide, or that I'm underinflating them. That said, the point I wanted to make is that they are relatively thin. I haven't had any problems, but I'd rather have something thicker on a multi-day tour or even commuting. Esteban toured on them<http://www.flickr.com/photos/25671211@N02/7585558050/in/set-72157630609991210>and they held up fine, so YMMV.
