I'm just the opposite.... when mtb's came on the scene in the mid 80's, I switched to 90% mountain bikes for almost 2 decades. But I still prefer drop bars. In fact I've been scheming to convert my steel 29er to mountain drops. Now with hydro discs for drop bars on the market ( TRP) it may be just the right time.
