I've never had the Zefal fall off the peg when riding.

However, it gets bumped off all the time when I'm walking the bike,
carrying it up stairs, loading it in my truck, etc.

So, I strap it.  I salvaged a velcro strap from a cheap underseat bag with
a broken zipper.
