Patagonia's been pretty notorious for changing their sizing and fit over 
the last 10 years or so, sometimes even on the same item from season to 
season.

Used to be that everything was designed with an active, athletic core user 
in mind, and with a fit appropriate for the given activity.

Nowadays that same arctic-grade expedition shell will be far more likely 
tasked with insulating a core full of crab legs and creme brulée on the 
deck of a cruise ship, and so a Large becomes a whole 'nother kind of large.

Luckily their stuff lasts forever.
