Hi all, I use Shoe Goo almost always. Open the cap, poke the cable end in, pull it out, wipe excess if any and done. Too much makes difficult to reuse a cable. The downside is it can attract dirt. I typically wait overnight before a ride and have had good success. Tom Palmer
