Tony, Don't know why but I think fat tires on an Atlantis just looks right. And those Kenda's look great. Here's a DIY<http://gypsybytrade.wordpress.com/2014/01/17/studded-nate-grip-studs/>for studded tires...since it doesn't snow in LA really no reason for studs...on the matter of snow and fenders I've seen never experienced the jam up and it seems like not running with them in snow sort of makes sense, and what Steve P. said about the flat fender I believe is correct perhaps wear something to protect against the wet strip up the back.
