Just to give you an alternate view, Rivendell have never responded to any 
of my emailed questions and even when there was a slight hiccup in frame 
number 1, I had to phone them and they were to return my call which they 
never did. The issue was resolved but a little communication goes a long 
way. Plus the frame was late by two months. They were suppose to phone back 
on frame number 2, to give me geometry on the the bikes you are looking at 
and they never did. I did end up buying a complete bike instead where the 
geometry numbers are listed. 

My preferred communication style is email, unfortunately Rivendell doesn't 
follow that style of communication at least with me. 

I like it better when I can just get on the website and order something, 
without phoning or emailing, that system has worked for me beautifully. But 
even today the Riv website is down, the domain has expired, really how does 
that happen when you are mostly an internet company? 

Will I keep buying from them? Most definetly. They have the bikes and 
products that I like but I also am aware if there is a problem, 
communication will be lacking.  Many of you have had such great 
interactions, so maybe I was just unlucky twice.
