I agree with Doug - 16 swingarms with overlapping road wheels is probably not the best idea for your first build.
Whatever tank you choose, I think the best way to get your plans is to buy a plastic kit (1:35 or larger) and measure off the kit to scale up the measurements. They're big, boxy, and comparatively easy to build. If you go that route, I suggest not building overlapping road wheels like on the real thing. Use a nice, simple (but less accurate) in-line road wheel arrangement like on T01. - Doug From: rctankcombat@googlegroups.com [mailto:rctankcom...@googlegroups.com] On Behalf Of zachary thomas Sent: Saturday, September 04, 2010 7:19 PM To: rctankcombat@googlegroups.com Subject: Re: [TANKS] M1 Abrams plans Hmmmm it looks like il be going for a WWII era tank. thanks for the info ________________________________ From: David Cansler <dc...@verizon.net> To: rctankcombat@googlegroups.com Sent: Sat, September 4, 2010 7:12:46 PM Subject: Re: [TANKS] M1 Abrams plans German WWII designs have few bends and mostly made up of flat pieces Zach. This gives little space for a marker inside. -Gregory On Sun, Sep 5, 2010 at 8:06 AM, jackal...@yahoo.com<mailto:jackal...@yahoo.com> <jackal...@yahoo.com<mailto:jackal...@yahoo.com>> wrote: Hey I am wanting to build an M1 Abrams tank, and am looking for some plans. Im probably going to be building it out of wood ( it being my first tank and all ).
