We only use battery opperated vehicles on this site for lots of reasons , Every now and again someone has the idea to use a generator to produce power as they go along, I dont understand how this could be in anyway better than using batteries. what ever other components you use in your tank, batteries wont be the most expensive, If you want to build a Petrol powered tank have a look at http://www.scaledtanks.com/news.php
