Hi all. This is my first posting. Well sadly, that website doesnt
allow people to register with a "free email". So I guess that I wont
be messing with them... I have used my hotmail account since about
1998, and even when I had a "paid email" issued to me by my provider,
I have never used em. I have had too many service providers over the
past 14 years.

I am building either a M4A3 Sherman or M10 tank destroyer in 1/4
scale. I am basing it off the T020 tank that Steve Rosadini is
building.

I am starting on the lower frame because the are basically the same up
to the start of the top armor belt over the tracks. It should be about
53" long which makes for cutting the plywood odd. Humm.. maybe I
should go about 1/4.5 scale to get it to 48" for ease of lumber and
metal supplies. I just got my wheelchair motors in, and wired up to
my temporary wheelchair controller I am using for my designing. Got
them cheap on ebay, and they work fairly well, though slow. I gotta
get some gearbox going to make em faster. After reading the forums, I
now wish I had spent the money on EV warriors.

I have yet to get my tracks going because I am looking for 2060
tabletop rollerchain that is not a huge hit to my wallet. I want
strength and ease of construction. Anyone know where to get some
other than ebay?

A major boxstore near me was fixing their handcards and I got about
100 wheels with bearings for free last week. I am going to use some of
them for my guides. Some are going to be trashed because they are too
heavyduty and heavy.

I am planning on using this tank more for fun, so I did buy myself a 4
stroke motor at a swapmeet for $20, and got plans online for a
transmission, though I am wondering now how expensive that will be. I
might stay with electric for now but design my transmission for easy
removal and upgrading latter to gas.

Ordering my pillow blocks and 5/8" slotted rods today and might start
on the boggie system today after a quick run to the home depot or
local lumber yard.
