Richard is right. We are at the tipping point. This year, British
Library, Library of Congress, Library and Archives Canada, National
Library of Australia and Deutsche Nationalbibliothek will all implement
RDA. Other UK legal deposit libraries are also preparing for
implementation this year.

As is well known, RDA cannot be applied out of the box but requires
a set of guidelines or policy statements, as LC has it, to fix the
options and alternatives to be used in-house. Unless you want to
leave it all to cataloguer judgement.
Will the BL have their own set of statements? Is there any concern
with regard to differences between the statements of the implementers?
Are these differences expected to be greater or smaller than under AACR?
