------------------------------------------------- It was not my understanding (from various training sources) that 2.4.2.2 required the SOR to come from the same source as the title proper. Instead, 2.4.2.2 offers three options as the source of the SOR, and lists them in order of preference. It does not state that in selecting one option that the others are precluded, which is to say, there is no RDA equivalent to AACR2's "chief source." Given that, one may mix-and-match sources to most fully describe the resource in hand? (Remaining mindful that extending the description beyond the CORE elements is a matter of cataloger judgment.)
