Wallace I had an IG10's power supply get wonky two years ago. It would never get past the first stage. Couple trips to the customers house and Fronius tech support on the phone ( they were great by the way ) and they shipped me a new one. The tough part was swapping it out, a bit heavy. They have always been great when it comes to customer support.
FYI, a new Primo is far more efficient and will have greater production #'s than the older IG's. Work horses both. It is not a warranty claim at all. The manual states that 417 means: "Two power supplies have the same print number”. and to contact Fronius tech for assistance. They tell me send it in. It is a hardware problem. I would guess that removal and repair cost applied to to a new SMA with SPS would be a better investment for the customer. Any experience on repair costs for that type of failure on that generation of Fronius? I appreciate any feedback on the problem.
