I know you're in Australia, so I'm going to recommend these guys.

I use them for a number of my installs and have NEVER had a problem.
Hosting starts from AU$49.95 a year (less than $4.20 a month!), but
you get 5GB bandwidth and 100MB of space.
I always go for the business package though ($69.95 a year -
Unlimited traffic, 250MB space and includes a MySQL database).
Optionally you can go for the eCommerce package, which I bundled with
a number of my sites ($99.95 a year - unlimited Traffic, 500MB space
& an SSL certificate!)
Keep in mind you need to fork out $25 every two years to own your
own .com.au domain (and you need an ABN and to have a registered
business name matching your domain), or you can pay $19.95 a year for
a .com domain, on which there are no restrictions.
