Because RB provides the Sleep() method and this is the best design - instead
of using a relatively unrelated Timer...

Why do you call that?  Is this something that you could set
a flag at
the thread completion and them perform some other wait loop at the
main thread level?

Because buse waiting is the lest good choce, when waiting....
