They are still the software portion of FreeScale
They just don't sell Mac version of CodeWarrior any more since Macs
are not based on FreeScale (powerPC) silicon
We wont know all that went wrong but, I would guess they didn't
make the
most of opportunities that came along. I believe they had versions for
PlayStation and even Aibo, and there was a whiff of a PowerPlant for
Windows. This was all well in advance of Eclipse.
They still have a long list of products that it does support
including PS 2, PSP, Gamecube, DS, Wii, etc
And of course for their embedded processors from 68K based up to
PowerPC based controllers
