Sounds simple enough, except my problem is that the total big picture can easily get to be a few million pixles in height and width, and of course when I have an array of few hundred items scattered around, this gets really slow really fast.
Mac OS has a concept of clipping rect - if object was outside of the rect, attempts to draw it was ignored. Maybe you could implement similar concept - for each object keep an bounding rect. To check if two rectangle overlap should be very fast - few hundred objects should not be a problem, even few hundred thousand objects should be managable. -- Peter Bozek _______________________________________________ Unsubscribe or switch delivery mode: <http://www.realsoftware.com/support/listmanager/> Search the archives of this list here: <http://support.realsoftware.com/listarchives/lists.html>
