Ugh, this makes me very sad. Like many others on this list, I'm too busy to browse the various categories on the web forums and drill down to read people's replies. But it was easy enough for me to quickly scan new mailing list emails and reply to those of interest. I have a feeling that I will not be as involved if forced to use the web forums due to its current structure... unless REAL Software provides a way to quickly browse new postings without having to drill down into the various categories and replies. Maybe a daily RSS feed for all new postings?
I'm thinking this decision might severely change the dynamics of this tight-knit community by turning away a large percentage of veteran mailing list readers who do not like the functionality of web forums. For a long time now, we've all had a choice in which one format to use and we had stuck with the mailing list format for a very good reason: its simplicity and ease of use during busy work hours. Sigh... :-( Regards, Dave Wooldridge Electric Butterfly http://www.ebutterfly.com ------------------------------------- on 2/5/07 7:54 AM, Dana Mason wrote: > We are finding that there is a lot of duplication occurring between > our Mailing Lists and our Forums.
