Starting an independent list is NOT the answer. Sure, the existing members may join up, but how will new members find it? The solution must involve some level of support from Real Software. Some time ago, I wrote a program called Y! Groups Extractor that enabled users to download attachments from Yahoo! Groups postings without browsing the e-mail. It worked well until Yahoo! killed the ability to attach files to the posting, but I wonder how hard it would be to write a similar forum-to-email bridge? The mailing list entries would be posted at the forum, and the forum entries would be e-mailed to the mailing list. I agree with Real that the content should be consolidated, I just don¹t agree that forums are the way to do it. __________________________________________________________________________ Kem Tekinay (212) 201-1465 MacTechnologies Consulting Fax (914) 242-7294 http://www.mactechnologies.com Pager (917) 491-5546 To join the MacTechnologies Consulting mailing list, send an e-mail to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] _______________________________________________ Unsubscribe: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> REAL Software has decided to consolidate this mailing list with the online Forums.
