Threads die out of their own accord. The volume tends to reflect the
controversy and depth of feeling involved. This wont happen on the
forum.
Its simply too much of a hassle to keep in touch with all the
fragmented
discussion.
One of the reasons that some people have stated they prefer forums is
precisely because REAL can delete threads, remove messages and
control it better than the email lists (that could be done on an
email list as well)
