Enough is enough. I'm not seeing this problem on X.4.8. I doubleclick a control in the window editor and it takes me to an event for that control in the code editor. PPC Dual G4. I wonder --- are those of you suffering from this problem all running X.4.9? (Dennis said he was running X.4.9, but he described a separate problem.) Have you confirmed this on multiple projects? I have sometimes had the IDE behave strangely, sometimes fixed by saving my project as XML and then re-importing it. > Having spent the last few hours > reading through this list I am appalled at the list bugs and issues > with what would seem fairly basic requirements for an IDE: > > Editfield (lacking functionality) > ContainerControls (poorly implemented) > HTMLViewer (never really worked correctly) > MoveFirst in RealSQLDatabase (doesn't work apparently) > etc ect > > The list goes on and on. I'm very curious as to why it's only happening to some of us. Like I said earlier, I haven't seen this behavior. > Does Real Software really expect us to wait until RB2007r3 to resolve > these issues - possibly another 3 months? Well, like we were celebrating earlier, the RS guys are in the same boat we are in now and will learn about problems first-hand. Whether this will transfer into some kind've special release is just guesswork. > My subscription expires in 5 days so I am now in a situation where I > can go back to r1, put up with r2, or spend more money investing in a > horrendously bug infested product and wait for r3. As a matter of fact, I think this would be real lousy time to leave --- let's see if there's a real "Dog Food Effect." -- Russ Tyndall Wake Forest, NC _______________________________________________ Unsubscribe or switch delivery mode: <http://www.realsoftware.com/support/listmanager/> Search the archives: <http://support.realsoftware.com/listarchives/lists.html>
