The problem is not with the beta testers (no one said that)! The problem is with
RS that releases software with bugs REPORTED by the beta testers before the
final release! Want an example?

Check this bug for Windows:
http://www.realsoftware.com/feedback/viewreport.php?reportid=isbbobqx
After install, 2007r2 Windows changes file associations incorrectly
- Reported by Will B. on 2007-04-01 for the 2007 r2fc3
- Reported by Sascha S. on 2007-04-01 for the 2007 r2fc4

The bug was reported by beta testers on both FC3 and FC4! But it was not fixed,
although is a nasty one: it changes ALL files without an extension to RB Script
files and there's no workaround for this! Also you can't double click a project
to open it on 2007r2 IDE - you need to open RB and then drag and drop (no
woraround to get this working correctly).

The bug was fixed on 2007r3a1 (I suppose on same day, or day after, that 2007r2
was released) with the following Release Note:
"[Fix] [IDE] File type associations: (on Windows) File association is no longer
automatically done when the IDE launches. Instead, the association will be done
by the installer (as is proper on Windows). However, the Preferences dialog has
a way to associate files with the IDE in the General tab."

They messed with something that was working fine on previous versions. And
what's our solution? WAIT 3 MORE MONTHS!

RS is so obsessed to release RB within the 90 days period that it forgets that
product quality and credibility is more important than to release "on time" - I
wouldn't mind to wait a few more days and get a better product - at least with
the bugs reported by the beta testers corrected.

Suggestion to RS: Implement a "Rapid FIX Release Model" ;-)

Carlos
