As I stated in my later post. The thing i that code folding is hardly usable. Try to fold in a block of code, triple-click a line of code above it or underneath it, copy/paste. The whole thing gets confused and expands random folded blocks again without updating the icons.
The double-click thing which worked fine in any version of REALbasic does not work properly anymore (double-clicking objects in the layout editor) and won't jump to the events in the code editor. Those are the biggest bugs I see so far, and the code folding one is not really this criticial as I don't use it yet. The double-click bug really jams productivity as you have to browse through a large number of controls in some projects and find the events manually. Other than that, I still work with r2 due to the faster compiler and a certain bug fix in the compiler itself (4kb stack). The Version Control Format is now alphabetically sorted - yay. There are more reasons to use r2, so please don't get me wrong. The only thing that makes me feel uncomfortable is: Why do make such bugs it to the final release? I mean, is nobody using REALbasic prereleases on real-life projects and testing it? I stumbled across those bugs (above) after just 30 minutes of working with r2. 2007/4/8, Dax Dasilva <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>: > Don't agree with the dog food statement either, the incremental compiler and > code folding rock.
