No I don't need it in an editfield.
I need it in printing, for example, I need to print 2+3 with the + and 3 as
superscripts.

Do you really need this in a editfield?
If not you can simply draw superscripts and subscripts yourself in
say canvas by using a smaller fontsize than the rest of your text
and offsetting where you draw it. It's really not that hard to
generalize that (for a single font and fontsize) in a drawing
function (using delimeters to specify superscripts and subscripts)
and then you have total control and are not limited to numerical
superscripts or a particular front.
