Understood.  This sort of linear interpolation isn't too hard (a lot
easier than projecting a 3D triangle into 2D, where you have to take
perspective into account).  But I don't know of a good explanation
offhand.  Might make a good RBD article.

I can certainly respect that -- in fact I've done it once or twice, for
the same reason.  My ray tracer was ridiculously slow compared to, say,
POV-Ray, which has been optimized for years.  But it did demonstrate
the basic principle of how they work.  Again it's a little hard to
explain in an email, but an article with diagrams and sample code
should make it clear.

In the latest issue of RBD, the editor (Marc Zeedar) invited readers to
request articles they'd like to see.  Maybe you should drop him a note.
