Not much, no. I avoid Microsoft apps as much as possible on ethical grounds. I've seen lots of people using spreadsheets for databases, but I've always observed it to be mainly because that's the tool they already know. One of the first things we usually try to train people who want to get serious about managing data is: a spreadsheet is not a database. I'm still of the suspicion that, if we ask half a dozen RB developers who all claim to want a grid control, they'll have half a dozen different definitions of what "done right" means. Let's try to come up with a spec and see if we can get general agreement on it; then we can figure out how to make it happen.
