MS has stated that Foxpro will be supported until 2015.
I just finished a VFP 2.6 maintenance coding project with VFP 6.
Along the way I learnt that VFP 9 is out and bought a license.

I am so impressed with VFP 9 I am now converting my main RealBasic app
to FoxPro.
