Dan,

We've seen this problem in 2 PCs out of around 300 that have upgraded to G2.
You've already discovered the only workaround that we've found to fix it.
My first reaction to this error was a faulty or out-of-date Display driver.
So far we've seen this in a Cirrus Logic VisualMedia display card.  Your
seeing the same error in the Creative display card suggests it's not a
display driver issue, but rather something about RealPlayer G2's use of the
graphics accelerator.
