i have try to play a few with a cube and i do something wrong too.
first thing on blender when you create materials it's create *canals*
so for exemple i have created 6 material for have 6 differents colors
(one per face).
when uplaoded on tundra tundra try to put each material on the entire
cube as only 1 material and of course it's can't be done only the
first material is used on the entire object.
as well i didn't try texture for now, but hmmm i think i must create
some submesh on blender and it's something named vortex no?
i have see on my tutorial i use the creator made a vortex group for
work on colirisation of it it's say it's used for blender know all of
these object are on same group dunno if it's related with submesh
later... but i'm only at the half part of the totorial so possible
it's explained later.
second thing i have duplicated my cube and the clone is named cube.
001.mesh when i uplaod the .txml hmmmm badly tundra can't found the
2nd .mesh and say it can't .
i think it's due to the .001 i rename it cube1.mesh but for today i
can't try more it's late here .......

any suggestion or aidea about submesh? (vortex texture????)

my tutorial is in french and it's talking about blender not about
ogre. it's explain all about texturing for "newbie" so i can put a
start of step by step too if needed

(ps: ... i can't read Boris post here???)
