This sounds eerily familiar, so rest assured it's not just you.

We just had a consultant up from RedDot the other week and queried
him
at length about server optimisation. From his response it seems there
is a large number of factors, both internal and external to RedDot,
which could have a detrimental effect on performance, and only
extensive and systematic testing will reveal what combination of
factors is causing the slow-down. If it begins to become a major
issue it may be worth spending some money on on-site consultancy to
diagnose the problem - certainly the consultant who visited us was
extremely knowledgeable and helped to streamline some of our
processes.


In the meantime, your RQL scripts can be instructed to extend their
tolerance:


' increase timeout for large records processing
Response.Buffer = True
server.scriptTimeout = 900
