We have a few slightly-weird reasons why we want to publish just images to
DS - a custom blogging tool with different blogger images, different images
on 'B' pages of A/B tests (we have a fairly low-tech way that we do this)
and the odd email image (although most email images we put on another
web-server). Our infrastructure is also fairly locked down so most
web-devs don't have any direct web server access - only publishing through
Reddot CMS to make things live.

I'll admit that it's a less than optimal setup we've got going on, and a
bit of looking at the root cause of why we need to publish the odd image
would remove the need for this, but on the scale of things, it's not really
a big problem - we just wondered given this current need what anyone else
does/would do.

Thanks for the tips so far!
