There should be some bug somewhere, as I'm able to shut down the system with 
the poweroff program.

It is a link to the consolehelper, and gives a normal user the ability to 
shutdown without password request.

Actually I have unlinked the poweroff command, leaving the original one (it 
needs super user to work) in the /sbin dierctory.

RedHat should fix it (maybe someone don't know that poweroff is a link to 
consolehelper, and leave it to the /usr/bin directory without setting 
appropriate permissions).
