I have wget pointed at important directories at my favourite mirror. It runs
unattended (as does my internet connection). From there I do the occasional
rpm --freshen on as many systems as I want.
One of my other reservations about up2date is its utility for updating more
than one system; I have RHL 4.2, 5.0, 6.1, 6.2 and 7.0 systems here (some
cohabit the same machine).
