Doug, You should tell the world just what it is you're trying to install. If it's e.g. some (imaginary) set of libraries called fds, and there is a package called fds-1.0-3.i386.rpm and an accompanying package called fds-devel-1.0-3.i386.rpm, and the two depend on each other, then just use the --nodeps option when installing the first one. This trick often works with sets of separate packages that are all just really separate but essential pieces of a single product. In lots of other cases you can get hung up trying to satisfy a single package's requirements, and it can admittedly be a hassle from time to time. Provide some more information. --=--=--=--=--=--=--=--=--=--=--=--=--=--=--=--=--=--=--=--=--=--=--=--=-- Greg Fall [EMAIL PROTECTED], [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www-personal.engin.umich.edu/~gmfall -- PLEASE read the Red Hat FAQ, Tips, Errata and the MAILING LIST ARCHIVES! http://www.redhat.com/RedHat-FAQ /RedHat-Errata /RedHat-Tips /mailing-lists To unsubscribe: mail [EMAIL PROTECTED] with "unsubscribe" as the Subject.
