You should tell the world just what it is you're trying to install.  If
it's e.g. some (imaginary) set of libraries called fds, and there is a 
package called fds-1.0-3.i386.rpm and an accompanying package called
fds-devel-1.0-3.i386.rpm, and the two depend on each other, then just use
the --nodeps option when installing the first one.  This trick often
works with sets of separate packages that are all just really
separate but essential pieces of a single product.

In lots of other cases you can get hung up trying to satisfy a single
package's requirements, and it can admittedly be a hassle from time to
time.  Provide some more information.
